What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday, September 28, 2022, crews at Chaplin Station will perform permanent utility installations and road and sidewalk restoration works on the north side of Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate this work safely, Chaplin Crescent will be closed north of Eglinton Avenue West. Eglinton Avenue West will remain open. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately one (1) month. Significant traffic changes will be in effect. Please carefully read the details below
What to Expect
Chaplin Crescent will be closed north of Eglinton Avenue West; emergency service vehicles excepted. East-west traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be maintained. Local access will be maintained.
Noise from construction activity, such as use of excavators and trucks, can be expected. Site lighting can also be expected.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Wednesday, September 28, 2022, for approximately one (1) month
- Construction activities will take place between 6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday
- Chaplin Crescent will be closed on a 24-hour basis
- The closure duration may be longer or shorter than expected
- Construction may not take place each day of the closure period
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Chaplin Crescent will be closed north of Eglinton Avenue West. All turns and through traffic onto Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted.
- Property access will be maintained
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The north crosswalk at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Chaplin Crescent will be closed. The east, south, and west crosswalks will remain open.
- Pedestrians will be rerouted around the workzones
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- TTC diversions will be in effect.
